I have smf forum setup plus coppermine photo gallery..

I want to know if vbulletin can convert/migrate from simplemachine to vbulletin??

Yes we have an SMF importer. You can read about it here:

There is not Coppermine importer though since vB does not include a Gallery.

The SMF convertor in Impex is very good and will even handle the encrypted filenames of attchaments (if you have that enabled).

Currently I'm in the final stages of moving from SMF to VBulletin after purchasing about 5 days ago. I've spent a lot of time practicing the import so I know what to expect and most of all learning the admin cp as it's a massive improvement over SMF's.

Definately worth the purchase :)

Coppermine will not be deleted by installing vBulletin, but if the users are coming from SMF, you might have problems. If the users are duplicated in Coppermine and SMF, then you have to relink the users with some kind of vB -> Coppermine bridge.

Also user passwords will not be imported. AFAIK

I recently converted from SMF to vB using Impex, worked absolutely great.

Yea i think users will need to reset their password but no biggy.
