We offer our ImpEx script for download from the member area. ImpEx can be used to convert from many boards, including IPB, to vBulletin.

Please read the documentation at: Appendix 5: ImpEx Import System (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/main/impex)

Also read in our vBulletin 3.6 Import System (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=92) forum, especially: Importing HOWTO (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116398)

its kind of complicated, it didn't talk clearly how to export the IPB and how to inport to VB! where i have to upload the impex? as i said I have a IPB!

I have to export the database from IPB, then Import them to VB, how I export the IPB? I do have mysql backup, is it usable?

I don't have The phpbb! I guess each system has there own way to do, don't right?

You will need to restore your IPB data first into a database on your (new) server. Next you configure ImpEx to use that database as source, and run the import scripts as described.

Do I have to creat a new mysql db or use the seam IPB DB?

If you can access the IPB database from the server on which you are plaanning to run ImpEx, then you would not need to create a new database or import it.

I have a question, do I have to install the VB? like now my forum is on www.alshiatalk.com/forum (http://www.alshiatalk.com/forum) do i have to make www.alshiatalk.com/vb (http://www.alshiatalk.com/vb)?

if yes, so what should I do to covert from ipb to vb?

because the instruction is not working with me!

Yes, you need to install vB before you can install Impex and do the import.

Steve the question is clear! you guys keep pasting the links, I do read the IMPEX befor I start a topic about this problem. If i could handle the problem I wouldn't open a topic, right? the IMPEX and other information has no more helpful information for someone biginner like me. because it has no screan

any body can see what I am talking about, I don't have a knowledge of VB or PHP... you tell me how can I set this up?

do me a favor do the impex for me, could you?

If you cannot follow the Impex instructions, then you should try to find someone who can follow those instructions and do this for you. You might want to advertise for someone to help in the Service Requests forum at www.vbulletin.org.

Thats is not a good idea and not a right solution to passing your customer to somewhere else!

*
i always thought vBulletin.com supported and gave advice on the impex not .org *

We are willing and able to help you, but we do not have a service available to do this for you. This is nothing personal. We simply don't provide that service at this time.

Since you have stated rather emphatically that this is beyond your capability and that you cannot understand the documentation, the only other option is to advertise on vbulletin.org for someone to do this for you.
