is what I got when I clicked on Import - Import:

he page cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please try the following:

<LI id=list1>If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.
<LI id=list2>Open the www.thewebsitename.com (http://www.thewebsitename.com/) home page, and then look for links to the information you want. <LI id=list3>Click the [some image ] Back (http://javascript<b></b>:history.back(1)) button to try another link.
Click [An image thing] Search (http://javascript<b></b>:doSearch()) to look for information on the Internet.
HTTP 404 - File not found
Internet Explorer

However we have been having problems reinstalling the Main Page, so I don't know if it has anything to do with it. I just want to be able to import a backup. The host is an Apache server. Thank you.

Generally you don't use Impex to restore a backup. What are you trying to do exactly?

You need to copy the backup file to your server, then restore it to a new database. The only reliable method of restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:

http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/maintenance_ssh_restore

Note: Some people have reported success with these scripts:

MySQLDumper:

MySQLHotxcopy:

You've got me thoroughly confused. If you are restoring a backup then you don't have a forum to take offline. Unfortunately I have no idea what you are doing or what you want to do. You'll need to explain from the beginning.
