Version Checking Oddity

While "playing" with this I noticed that I got a message saying I was up to date - with different version codes ;


Product Members who have posted on the forum Up to Date

Installed Version 4.32X
Latest Version 4.32 This seems a little odd ?

There is no version 4. 3.6.0 is the latest. Where did you get those numbers?

Maybe you both missed the point.

Jake: This is product version checking, not vb's version number - a product can have whatever version number the author dreams up.

Mike: Irrespective of the missing "is" - the versions codes are different, "4.32X" does not equal "4.32" - yet the version check seems to think they are the same.
