this is what i get when i try and run my install script
Attempting to attach to database...
Warning: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) in D:\www\dmbservers.com\forum\admin\db_mysql.php on line 38
Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in D:\www\dmbservers.com\forum\admin\db_mysql.php on line 47
The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please go back to the last step and ensure that you have entered all your login details correctly.

sounds like you don't have the correct username or password for the database you are trying to access. ask your hosting company for it.

ODBC? huh... i have never used windows server but if that is a database like it sounds like it is then well you can't use that. you have to use mysql.
i recommend search for windows installation help on the forums.
