First off finally my host restored my database. I go through the steps it check the database and all is good skip step 2 goto step 3 no problem goto forums no problems goto threads no probs goto posts and 2635 of the posts fail. what do I do now? also it shjows a percent over in the right side of 75% on each post... anhy goto the next step and I get a IP_private directores does not exist error. Then when it refreshes I get a white page in the admin cp saying database error. I goto admin cp white databse error and the index page wont load. No what do I do? How do I get those other 2635 posts to show

Step 2 and 3 of what exactly?
Also we need to see the real error message. Right-click on the error page and go to View/Source. Then copy-n-paste the error message here.

That's not a vBulletin error. I've never seen it before. I suggest you try reuploading all the original vB fioles, then if you still have this error contact your host.

That is a limit on the maximum number of queries you can execute in a certain, set by your host. Please contact your host to askthem to remove this limit while you are importing.

<Moved to correct forum>
That should only have happened if you had users with the same name but different email addresses. Not sure how to correct this except to clear out the imported data and redo the import.

I don't know. You'd have to provide a picture.

ok for instance you are using impex and it says importing thread # whatever next to it in green is a percentage number usually 26,62, or 75%

I don't know what that means, otherwise I would have answered it the first time you asked. Asking multiple times ain't gonna make me any smarter. ;)
You'll need to wait for Jerry to answer this.

The percentage is the measure of the amount of data in the object when its saved.
i.e.
A user object as 54 fields, including 4 mandatory ones.
As long as the mandatory ones are there the object is valid, if say the 4 mandatory ones and 23 others were filled, then that would be 27 full and 27 empty. So that's half, which is 50%.
So the number will be green because the object is valid and be 50%.
The closer to 100% the more vBulletin like the data is and less defaults will be used.

SSH to your server locate the dir and type "pwd", that will give you the correct path/

If ImpEx failed them, then there is good reason. Most likely orphans.

I found the path to exactly where they are but it still not finiding them. Heres the question. EVE stores attachments in all these subfolders eve files/attachments/9/dfgdfggds/photo.gif . Do I leave the attachments in those directory structures or copy all of them images that is by doing a search in one subdirectory and lump them together?

THis is what I am looking at. Instead of the forums name it has the title of the forum in it and its all messed up and not in order.

I just looked at your forums -- you'll have to edit each forum and rearrange them into their right categories. I had to do it when I converted from phpBB.. it didn't take a long time to do. :)
