well i would like to purchase a vbulltin licence and that in the next few days but i have some questions regarding hosting.

i have a domain registered with a comapny called 1and1.co.uk. what i would like to know is who is a good hosting company for my forum. the foum will be quite small maybe a 1000 members at most with about 20 on perday. also could somebody explain to me about dedicated servers/shared servers and php/mysql as i am very new to this.

i would also like to know how easy once ive got my hosting company is it to install the forum and that.

your help will be very much appreciated.

Have a read through the testimonials sticky above, but I would suggest keeping away from the $5 a month type hosts as they tend not to be around for too long.

Once you get a host, you'll be able to point your domain name to their servers by updating the nameserver records at the registrar.

Installing the forum software is relatively straight forward using your FTP program of choice.
