Yesterday I bought the vbulletin licensed and got it installed on my ISP mysql server.

Everything worked fine and I was making some colour changes etc. on the default setup.

Suddenly when I was entering some menu`s the standard white internet explorer page came up, that the site can not be contacted.

I tryed to go to the main page and again this error came - I tryed again and suddenly there was some information that I have to use "tools.php".

I uploaded this and I could enter, but when trying to chose some of the options, the "page can not be displayed" came up - but tryed again and suddenly it worked again - for once.

I thought a whole new installation would be the best so I tryed to run the installation process again. But than suddenly under step 2 I think, vbulletin comes with that the mysql version of the server is to old (first time I installed it everything worked fine).

SO I ask - what the Heck is suddenly happening. Every 2nd time I maybe can see tha page while other times a "the site can not be displayed" appears.

My problem with a blank page:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195837
was caused from the lack of lock-table grants.

Just asked to the hosting to give me permission and all was ok (without reinstalling, I just repaired and optimized table from the CP menu).

My webhotel said that I have not this lock and I can not get this - what else can I do to solve this problem?

I have checked other webhotels and all have disabled the lock table grant - so what do other people do. I have had a vbulletin license for 1 day, and it seems useless
