I am doing a test import of my IPB database today. I have everything setup but when I get to the users conversion and click on continue, nothing happens. I don't seem to remember this happening the last time I did a conversion.
Should there be a long delay (I can still see the input screen) when importing users? Is it looking for avatars? I don't see anything in my server processes that looks like the importer working.
**edit .. After a while the page times out.
Thanks.

This may be a server time and/or memory limit. To temporarily up your limits edit your includes/config.php file and add these lines right under the <?php line:
ini_set('memory_limit', 32 * 1024 * 1024);
ini_set("max_execution_time", "240");

I tried adding that with no luck.

What happens exacly? Which version of Impex are you running?

Impex 1.59
Nothing happens. I click continue and I see the counter and the bottom of the page start counting like it's waiting for the page to load. After 5-6 minutes I get a timeout error page.

I got it going now. It was set for 2000 members per cycle. I changed that to 100 and it started. Stay tuned......

ImpEx tires to set the time out and memory ever time itself, if the PHP config wont let it your going to have to really reduce the per page count as you have done.

I finished the import and am working throught the settings. I just noticed hat no users have avatars as they did before? Did I miss a setting somewhere?

Possiably the usergroup setting, if you told ImpEx to import the avatars.

yes it was a usergroup setting, thanks.
Last questions, I hope... I am changing all of these settings on this test board. Is there something that I can backup tonight that would make my life easier tomorrow night when I do the import for real? I guess not since most of them are usergroup settings.
What is the easiest way to add my moderators? I have them in the moderator usergroup but they are not listed as moderators in any of the forums or moderators list.
If I have forums that only mods and admins can see, what is the easiest way to set that? Go to the pemissions page and click "deny all" then go back and edit the ones I want to give access to?
Will I need to change anything in my board when I buy a new liscense for this tomorrow. I already have the board installed as development and will just switch it to live after the import tomorrow. Do i just need to make sure my information is correct in the vbulletin.com members area is correct?

The advised way is to set the board up before the import, take the back up.
Then you can revert to that point easily by restoring the backed up database.

Is there anything that can be done about the invision quote code? it has the div tags above it.
