I was very unhappy to see that one of the nonimees (http://www.yourconvo.com/forums/) is (euphemistically) "heavily inspired" by Volconvo.com (http://www.volconvo.com/forums/). It has a related domain name and color scheme, it has a miscellaneous forum that is "low on moderation", it has the word "free" in parenthesis next to the register link, as well as several other common characteristics.

I ask that YourConvo.com please be removed from this and future BOTM nominations.

Those characteristics, simply put, are legal to inspire off of, they are so miniscule that at the very most "lightly inspired" is appropiate. The color scheme is dominant orange, and looking at both right now bear no strong resemblance. The domain name is not volconvo.com or .net, and IMO is more creative.

If you were to file a complaint, you should have PM'ed me or s.moliari. What you did was both rude and non-justified, seeing as the forums look fundamentally different.

Your accusation is like saying that myetalk totally "ripped" the myspace site on their blue skin:http://forums.myetalk.com/?styleid=19

And seeing as the owner of Volconvo came over to my forum and blatently advertised and spammed a couple of my members, I have taken the liberty of banning him from there. If one cannot conduct themselves like an adult, then how could they operate a debate forum properly? I offered to talk to him to see what he wanted changed, but he refused to talk and instead spammed my forums.

Well then I better shut my whole forum down since the whole thing is low on moderation. Didn't know you cornered the market on low moderation. I guess the thousands of other forums that have the word free in parenthesis should also shut down.

I didn't realize my reply would provoke such a response. Since this is the case, I apologize. I didn't say it was a rip, but I do think a site that is nominated for board of the month should be mostly original in its presentation.
