What can I convert?

Hello,
I'm currently saving up for a vBulletin license because I just love the software! Now I was wondering, if I go with a free 3rd party forum software, can I convert it later on to vBulletin once I get my license?

Also, what free forum software can be converted to vBulletin besides phpBB (I hate phpBB and I will NEVER use it.)? I don't want to install the free software and then learn I can't convert it to vBulletin.

That's sweet! I think the free software I'm going to use until I get enough saved up for my vB license is included on the list so I think I'm good! But thanks for that little bit of info. I'll keep that in mind!
