OK Sometimes on our site everything is running smoothly and others, well not so smoothly. And I was wondering if it is possible for some members to have problems because of the server and not others and what it could possibly be? It is mainly to do with our "main" page http://www.thewomenslounge.com/forums/cmps_index.php and some of our images. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. And when it is not working my roommate can not get on the site from the laptop which is wireless. But from the computer I can get on, but can't get on to the main page or see some of the images. Any idea what this is?
Thanks

If it's intermittent, then it's either a server or a connectivity issue.

So it can be the server and only effect some members? And also (bare with me here!) what is connectivity? I think I know, but I want to make sure.
Thanks!

Connectivity is the user's connection to the Internet. If they or their ISP is having connection problems then this could obviously be an issue.

You appear to have a lot of ad banners at the bottom. If those aren't static ad banners (i.e. ads that connect to a different server to refresh every other day), then you will experience performance issues with the site loading at the client side because the browser is trying to fetch the ads and is possibly facing delays/web traffic causing slower loads.
One way to try and confirm that its not the server is to keep an eye on the CPU load in the admin panel. This way you can narrow down the potential source of the problem.

I do believe that banners are seperate. They are not something we own or run.
Also how do you keep an eye on the CPU Load?
Thanks
