Upgrading to final, Template changes

I know, from reading other threads, That when you upgrade to final any customised templates are not overwriten, But are the Defaults for those modified templates upgraded?

IE if ive edited postbit and then upgrade if i then chosse the view original of postbit will it be the old original or the new updated one.
The postbit template is an example im not sure if this particular template has even been altered.

When you upgrade your vB Version all default templates will be upgraded. Your custom templates not. If you choose to view a original template, you also see the upgraded one.
