I don't really understand the "clue," though I got an answer close to the one that was posted.

Actually it's 77
You have to do the orders of operation. Multiplication comes before addition.
60+1x2+9+6
60+2+9+6
62+9+6
71+6
77

I got 77 as well... its obvious that this isn't a mind puzzle so much as bad instructions. :)

Ahhhh.....777 I get it... The extra 7 comes after you convert the username 'minx' to hexadecimal code... then take those associated numbers and subtract them from the hex letter decimal-equivalents... thus giving you the last 7.

Look at minx age. Combine his age with the answer and you get 3777

Actually... after further research... I found that if you perform a background-check on minx using publicwarrants.com, you will find that he has 3 drug arrests, 2 international spy warrants, 2 Jelsoft license thefts, and 1 more that I won't disclose because children may be on here. The sum of these arrests give the third and final 7.
You got 3777 because you're using the calculator built into phpBB.

(sixty plus (one times two)) plus nine = seventy-one
Take that 71 and add the numbers you see, for example SIXTY has a SIX in the word...(also don't forget the word SIXTY) and you see ONE TWO and finally a NINE... add them to your 71 answer... (which should be 149) then find the logic to get 3777
(nothing to do with my name or age) if you show me the right logic i can show you how to win £25,000 easy! :) good luck

Is it just me, or did this suddenly change from a simple "for-fun" thread into a potential get-rich-quick rip-off scheme?

erm...no, you have tried to turn this into something using your own paranoia and assumption...but it's not anything like that...just because i mention money... which is nothing to do with what im trying to achieve here... it's simple... there's a hidden logic, i personally believe it's not so much a hidden 'logic' as a simple 1-10000 number choice... but why do im post here?... because millions of people are being conned in the UK right now using their humble free to air 'freeview' boxes... the people trying to 'get-rich-quick' are the freeview TV stations offering larges amounts of cash for extreamly simple 'puzzles'... if you have the answer then great post it... lets take some of that money back from these TV stations...it's either another tax for the feeble minded... the 'fun' part is the puzzle i don't care if you get it or not... the 'rip-off' is being done to millions like you everyday and every night... all you gotta do is tune into quiznightlive or 'themint' or any of them on UK freeview digital TV and see what i mean... BUT don't waste your money phoning in with the answers they deliberately make you believe is the right answer... it's not... in the mean time they sucker the public out of thousands....

I'm not in the UK, and I have never heard of anything that you've just mentioned. I barely even watch TV. I seriously thought that your thread was just about a simple puzzle, with no relation to anything that was going on in real life.
Guess I was wrong. No need for the personal attacks.
