Apologies ... all my searches on this produced tons and tons of stuff, and I could not find an answer.
Does vBulletin version 3.5.4 encrypt the PM's.
i.e.
Does somebody with acccess to the database have the ability to access the database directly and read the PM's ?
or
Can an Admin view PM contents ?
Thanks a Gazillion ... this is really bothering some of us.

Yes.
Can an Admin view PM contents ? Not without direct database access and the ability to browse and decifer the contents of tables and rows.
There is also no built in way to read the pm's though.

There is however hacks at vbulletin.org that allow admins to read users pm's who knows maybe even this site has it installed lol but the point is, any site could have it installed and you wouldnt know. but what admin would want to sit and go through everyones pm's through the database or through the hack. at times there could be a need, but most likely never.

No, we do not install any hacks on this site and certainly none that invade our customers privacy so please do not spread such accusations - even 'jokingly'.
