Ok, I installed vb 3.6 Beta 3 from scratch. When done, I installed vbadvanced 2.2 and after the vbadvanced installation I get the message that templates needs to be reverted ...
Why is that ? Does that happen every time I make a template edit ?

It means that there have been code changes made in the new templates that are necessary for the full functionality of things in the new version and it is possible that those things will not work correctly unless the template is reverted.
However, vbulletin gave you a great tool to compare your existing and new templates. After the upgrade, you will see a listing of the templates which will need reverting. There is a neat [View History] button which will give you a side by side, color coded view of the "original" and "modified" code from you template and the "current" version, with color coding for things "added" to "your" template, things "removed" from your template in the current template and so on. See more on this feature here:

Makes identifying, copying and inserting minor changed between templates VERY easy.

If they are vBa's templates it might be a bug, are you sure you upgraded to beta 3?
