Right now I'm using vBulletin 3.5.4. I plan on upgrading to any stable versions that are released. But I'm not very familiar with the process as I'm new to vB.

Right now I'm using a custom skin (http://www.tvjunkys.com) (http://www.tvjunkys.com%29). When I upgrade vBulletin, how would I go about upgrading the skin.

Also, I have quite a few "Products/Plugins" installed. None of the core vB files are affected though, I've never edited a thing. How would I go about upgrading the modifications?

Thanks and God bless,
Joey

Upgrading will always overwrite any hacks or changes you made to the vB files. However upgrading will not overwrite any add-ons through Plugins, although it is possible that those plugins may need to be upgraded for the new version.

Also upgrading will not overwrite custom templates. Nonetheless you should seriously consider reverting any updated templates to get the full advantage of all bug fixes and improvements.

Thats the part I don't understand about the upgrading process. Can you go into some more detail?

After you've upgraded, go to the Admin Control Panel, and under the Style Section, click "Check for Updated Templates". Update all out-of-date templates (this'll likely break your skin). Then, go and get the updated version of your skin (I don't think they'd charge for that) and install it.
