We ran into a panic last night.
We have a private forum or two for moderators and admin...our board has about 30 admin/moderators to help out with about 3200 members. The private forum has been hidden to all but the moderators and admin....
The other night we created two user groups....
And then we got an email from a member that they had walked right into our moderator forum...and then realized that this wasn't a public place.
Panic. We headed to the forums to check...yep, the moderator forum was to be private. But we headed to the user permissions and discovered that we had to exclude the two new groups from those forums instead of the assumed (yes, yes, I know...) which we thought if we wanted them in there, we should have had to make them moderators since it was for mods and admin only and this group was neither.
Just a word of caution...and perhaps a better user interface for groups? Thanks!
