Thanks for your reply! BTW, is there any way to check or compare the loading speed of two server? One of them turn off "ping" function.

Server 1 has slightly new software, but not much difference. Both of them should be okay, you can make decision based on other parameters.

If you dont have access to the server, its difficult to make a test. You may try to checkout the other sites hosted on its, if its a shared one. There are HTTP speed tests available online, you may test it with any exisiting site on the same server.

Thanks for your reply!
I have access to both server now. Let me explain a little more details:

server 1:
+located in The United States
+Cheap prices
+Mostly they reply customers'email within 30 minutes.

server 2:
+ located in Japan.
+alittle bit expensive
+they reply customers' email within 4 hours

I am living In Japan and have been using server 2 for a years. Sometime, The server is down and sometime can not ftp access I have ask them and they said thay they are not responsible for problem such as ftp access because they are shared servers.

I am new with server 1 and trying to test it now but I feel well with its support and speed.

The point is that with server 2(located in Japan) I can call them if there is anything wrong with it but it is difficult for me to call someone in US for server(1) problems. And I also heard that the router connecting US and Japan sometimes is down(so it is difficult for people in Japan manage servers located in US).

If any one have ideas please let me know.
Thank you very much!

Personally I use a US host (I live in England) and while it stops me from using telephone support I actually much prefer using e-mail and support tickets.

This will probably change once I make the change to dedicated when a few projects come to fruition. I guess in summary, telephone support isn't the be all and end all. Fast response to e-mails is key in my opinion.
