Example: you are viewing page two of a multipage thread and you click a radio button and hit "vote" on the poll for that thread. The next page confirms your vote and takes you back to the thread... page one of the thread. It should take you back to page two, not page one.
There are other functions that do this same thing. I can't think of any other ones besides the voting right now though. :p
