first off let me say that i am happy with Imbriweb. their customer service is almost as good as vbulletin-they go out of their way to help me. uptime is good... but my sites are getting more popular now, and i've had to upgrade from one reseller plan to the next level cos of running out of bandwidth each month..

the plan i'm on now is a reseller plan, i pay 30 bucks a month and get 5 gigs of space and 75 gigs of bandwidth. everything else is pretty much unlimited-subdomains, mysql databases, ect ect.

one thing i love is they have cpanel with fantastico installed. i absolutely WOULD NOT switch to a host that doesn't have this.

thing is, i saw somewhere where someone said you could get a semi - dedicated server for 30 bucks a month. could someone let me know what exactly semi - dedicated means? and would it really cost 30 bucks a month? is there a better deal for my 30 dollars elsewhere?

feedback much appreciated :)

My opinion is:

Semi-dedicated: is a special package quoted by a host. 0-50 users
VPS: limited ressources from a server. 50-100 users
Dedicated: your own ressources. 100 and above

All depends on the number of users online at the same time to evaluate the ressources you need.

Good luck by finding your host,

---> Hey it cant be that many!! VPS typically cost 1/2 to 1/4 of a dedicated server, so should not have more than 10 users in any case. Godaddy packages offers a minimum ram of 256 mb assured, which again proves the point.

I believe he is talking about forum users online, not the ammount of accounts ;)
