Subscription Question

I'd like to be able to make it so anyone can view any post, but you must subscribe to add a post or send a private message.

Is this possible? Couldn't quite figure this in the demo. Would a message about subscription come up if someone tried to post or private message?

What you want to do are actually the default permissions in vBulletin. If they are not a registered member and try to post or use private messages, they will get a "no permission" screen that will let them log or register.

Sorry Wayne, maybe I didn't make my self clear. I want only paying subscribers to be able to post or private message, not just registered users.

Now I see from the demo there is a way to introduce paying subscribers and set them as a new user type. What I want is for them to be the only user type?

So users must pay before they can post or pm other users?

As Wayne said this can easily be done with Usergroup and Foruum permissions.
