I am looking for someone to design a logo for a new forum I'm setting up. The client is the AR Council (http://www.arcouncil.org) - an optical industry group organized to help promote the use of AR (anti-reflective) coatings on eyeglass lenses.

I'm offering $75.00 for the winning logo. The rules are:

1. The logo should be consistent with the theme of anti-reflective lenses, i.e.. lenses with thin film coatings that substantially reduce surface reflections.

2. The logo should no larger than 390 x 110 pixels and the file size 15kb or less.

3. The color scheme should be complimentary to the default vB colors (#606096).

4. It can be either a GIF or JPG.

5. The winning entry must include the PSD file or equivalent (for future recoloring and modifications.)

6. There's a limit of three entries per submitter.

7. The entries must be received by June 8th, 2001.

8. I will pay for the winning entry with either a personal check or Paypal, and you'll need to send me a receipt.

If you're interested, email all entries to smachol@optiboard.com.

Thanks and good luck!

Just a couple questions:

1. Do you want it to fit in a lot like the vbulletin logo above? ^^^

2. Your going to use the same color scheme as on here? So I can use any of these colors?

3. Any certain font you'd like to be used?

Thanks!!!

1. Maybe! I'm not looking for that in particular, but I'd certainly consider it.

2. Yep - initially I'm going to use the default vB color scheme as used here. However I'd like to be able to easily recolor it for future style sets.

3. No particular font in mind. Just make it legible.

Thanks!

Just a reminder that this contest ends June 8th so time is running out!

There's still time to get your entries in!

One thing I've decided on is that I am going to make the background color white. However i'll still use the defalut vB colors for the other variables.

Congratualtions to Sean who provided the winning entry in this contest! :)

And thanks to everyone else who participated. I appreciate the time and effort you put in, but alas there could only be one winner.

smachol, how come your optiboard is so fast (except being on a fast network)?

I have no idea. It's actually on the slowest server in the Hostrocket network. I do use gzip compression which probably helps quite a bit.

Well, you are pinging just fine all the way to the UK, I must look more into that GZIP thing I am about to move servers so I need some tuning lessons soon.
