How long should we support php3?

Since php4 is becoming more and more supported, for how long should we support php3? Php4 is far more faster and supports more comprehensive features.

Personally, I'd like to ditch PHP3 last week, but unfortunately a lot of people on shared servers still have to put up with it :(

Yeah, but I honestly think when a big marketleading product like vb will step into php4, most hosts will upgrade.

i think you should go to that place that says how many people are using what version of php. i cant think of it on te top of my head. but i remember that a lot of hosts are going ove rto php4 since 4.0.1 came out a long time ago.
