Hi,

since my forum exists now for about a year (started with 3.something) which was upgraded all the way through 3.54, I would like to know something regarding templates :

I would like to install a new forum instead of upgrading this time to FINALLY save the template history when installing hacks and so on ..

IF I would upgrade, I would have to revert the templates and apply all the changes again.

This time however, I would like to :

1. Install 3.6.0 Beta 1
2. Using IMPEX (when available) to import user and forum(posts)
3. Install plugins and products (if compatible with 3.6 anyway)

NOW I would like to apply my template changes again.

IF 3.6 gets finall, do I have to revert those templates once again or should it be fine since the forum is already based on 3.6 ?

IMPEX will be proparby available only when 3.6 final is available, but basicially I want to start customizing ..

When each beta or the final release of 3.6 is made, we will list the templates that have changed in the release announcement. You will have to look at that list and determine if you want to revert or make the change manually depending on the number of modifications you make to a template.

I would suggest start making your customizations but it can hamper beta testing if they are too extensive.

Alright, the changes are not that extensive .. basicially just simple html, like adding images, or removing code (for example postcount in postbit) or something like that ...

So when I understand correclty, reverting should not be required when the changes are made in the beta version ...?
