Will the upgrade script handle upgrading directly from 3.0.6 to 3.6?
Thanks!

If you upload all the 3.6 files (especially all the files from the install folder except install.php), vBulletin should automatically take you through each version (3.0.6 -> 3.5.x -> 3.6).
Just make sure you have a back-up of your database before you attempt to upgrade.

Great! I presume the upgrade process just upgrades the database, and then you have all the new 3.6 code to run off it, right?

You have to upload all the proper files as well, or else things won't work right. ;)

So no, just the database isn't the only thingl you need to upload all of the vBulletn 3.6 files in order for it to function properly.

I know I need to upload everything that I need to upload, my question is that the result of the upgrade process in an upgraded database (plus all the code that I uploaded). I know its probably a dumb question, but this is a new world to me.

Oh, then yes. The upgrade does everything necessary to the database to implement the changes. It's really all just a click-through process. :)

best to follow my guide on upgrading http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187770 very safe and doesn't touch your live existing database at all if you do unfortunately mess up :)

Please note that the manual is still for the latest stable: 3.5
But yes, those upgrade instructions are probably 99% the same for 3.6 as config.php hasn't changed.
