Hi,
I don't know who is in lead of the marketing plans at jelsoft.... but for sure, the feature list doesn't reflect at all the richness of vbulletin.

There is one thing I learned about vbulletin: its impossible to realize how much smart features there are in the script that make it so much different and better from the other boards.

People first comming to Jelsoft site, will immediatly look at the feature list, and won't get as much impressed as the product deserve.

I would suggest to make a very detailed list of ALL vbulletin features (even the read receip, the ability to read message without sending the read receip, the ability to know how much caracterr length is a message long before posting it, clickable smilies and styles (that can be disabled by the user), timz zone setting, ignore users, even the ability to split and merge threads, that all boards owners deam about are not even mentioned on the feature list.... it shoud list EVERYTHING).

I suggest you would organize the feature list like the template system

Private messaging
-ALL THE FEATURES

Moderation
-ALL THE FEATURES

User CP
-ALL THE FEATURES

etc etc.....

Or maybe Jelsoft doesn't want to display all the feature of its product on purpose so competitor would not realize all the features of the product ? That wouldn't make much sense since many customers may not get cought by the way. I see no reason for such a hard work and features should not be known by new customers.

So sure such a detailed list would take several pages, but isn't the product worth it ?

Spending time with the demo copy of vBulletin that people can use, will help iron out those :)

Too long feature lists make boring reading anyway - best way to put across the greatness of vB is to USE IT :)
(Hence the demo)

I do agree with Sharg though; Why not make a link to the complete feature list?

Does the demo have all the features? If not, then relying on it for marketing purposes compounds the problem that Sharg talks about.
