View Full Version : We made it! dedicated server!

Ohhhhh I am so happy.... we finally succeeded in moving away from our old pisspoor provider to a dedicated server.

The box is Linux 2.2.16, P3-500, 128 MB Ram (for the first days, maybe I'll upgrade) on 3 155 mbit lines. If you want to check out and feedback to me, the URL is http://www.dvdboard.de (this is no advertisement for my site, though).

Of course I already included all php/sql configuration tunings from this page. I'd like to thank everyone here for their very valuable advice.

And now for some beer! yeeha :)

Response time is very nice from here (Philadelphia PA over a T1 line)... I'm actually happy to see that since I just purchased a dedicated server from dn with the same configuration. I can't wait til it's released next week :)

i have the same config and it's great to see my that it will support a large base like yours :D ... hmmm when i first accessed your page it came up blank with your site's background colours and no text or images? and then reloaded it and then the site came up ?

The server is definitively NOT overloaded... yet :]
