Error when importing members

Hi,

i get this error when i try to import the posts?

Type of import (clean or merge). on a clean instal of vB 3.5.4
Source board system and version. IPB 2.1.4
Target version. vB 3.5.4
Module issue occurred on. Importing posts
Any SQL error reporte.

Looks like a syntax problem with the smilie directory:

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mega_shok.gif

Is that really the name of this directory? I'm not sure < and # are legal characters for directory names.

The directory name is /style_emoticons/Aiwan/mega_shok.gif for that image it mentions in that code..

Hmmm...then do you know where the <#EMO_DIR#>is coming from in the error?

Im quite new to running a forum and dont no much at all to do with codeing so im not sure, could it be how mySQL reads something like that from the IPB forum?

Thats ImpEx passing the wrong data to a function to get an import ID, I'd like to look at that.

Hi,

Couple more questions, firstly if a support ticket is supposedly sorted does it get put somewhere else because i thought it was fixed so i posted that it was ok but since then i ive found other problems but noone has responded yet.

Jerry fixed the first problem i was getting importing members, so i instaled the new install of vB uploaded the impex and tried to do the transfer, but im getting a diffrent mySQL error now.


There seems to have been a problem with the database.

i get that error when trying to impor user groups/forums/threads/posts/ pritty much everything.

So i thought id try it on the test install of vB and managed to import the members, but now on that one thread titles are showing up twice.

So i guess i need a sulision for one of the boards, eny ideas what the problems are?

Error '0' generally means there is something wrong with the database but MySQL cannot fit the problem into a specific category. The first step in to run repair/optimize on the db to see if this fixes it. Do this for both databases using phpMyAdmin.
