Split/Merge threads

Instead of having to type in the thread to split or merge TO,
why not have a dropdown list? It gets a little hectic when you
dont remember the exact name of the thread you want to merge or split it out to.

Wouldn't it get a little chaotic in the dropdown list when there are say more than 100 threads?

What about boards with 30,000 plus threads? The download of the dropdown list alone will take for ever.

When I merge threads, I just copy the entire URL and paste it into the merge thread box.
