Board on/off setting suggestion

I was thinking about how good it would be to have more options on this menu. I know at current you can add messages but it would be cool if you could list jobs being currently done and what are still to be done. For example, it has a list of jobs that have to be done and a member can click on these to have a look at whos doing it and when it's suspected to be finished etc and once it's done that admin/mod/etc could tick it off in the acp. This is just an idea but it would allow members to be more informed and make it easier to alert members whats happening

This could all be done just by using HTML in the message, to hide and show divs. I doubt many users would need to give all that information out to members, since the site's not supposed to be offline for very long. :P

Although, 1) It would probably take just as long to write this as it would to just get whatever you are doing over and done with and reopen the site, and 2) If you don't know much about html then it would be difficult for admins to change writing and stuff.
