I am sure that people have seen this question a 100 times over, but I do not know where to start in the process of moving things over from phpBB2 to vBulletin 3.5.4. All I really need to move is the forums (only threads and posts ). If someone could tell me what I need to do to complete this process, I would much appreciate it.
Thanks for your time.

In your members area there is a link labelled Download Impex. Click that and follow the screens through to download the file.
Open the file and edit the config file that it contains to show the information for both your vB forum (which needs to be installed first) and your phpBB2 forum. Where it asks for the table prefix for the source data, ensure that you enter phpbb2_ unless you changed that when you set up your phpBB2 forums.
Delete the folders inside the impex folder apart from the one called phpbb2, you don't need the other ones.
Upload all the remaining files to your forums directory.
Log into your AdminCP and you will find a menu called import. In that menu select import, then select phpBB2 from the drop down list.
A screen will load with a row of buttons down the middle. taking each one in turn, simply work your way down clicking through each step until you reach the end.
When you have finished, you will need to rebuild the counters which are found under Maintenence > Counters.
Run the tools for forums, threads, search index & profiles.
Then delete the files that you uploaded, and you are ready to go.
