Developers, any thoughts on this: multi level inheritence?

Chrispadfield and I had a little discussion (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=116337#post116337) on a multi level inheritence type of stylesets. This would be a very usefull feature.

I thought about it and I think it can be implemented without very much modification (see the above thread for details). I'm not sure how exactly though. There are a few things to think about it though:


How do you store and select the 'inherit-tree' without adding more queries (the most difficult one)
Reverting back a template would be a bit tricky-er now..: To which set do you want to revert a template?


Just wanted to discuss if and in what way this could be implemented :)

sure you read but Ed just mentioned they have something in the works.

Thanks again for all the help though for the fix until they do release something.

The way i have it implemented now is also useful if you have extra templates and lots of stylesheets. You would only need to add the template once to the extra OR templatesetid = and then it would work for every template set. Cool hey :)
