Time Lag between page load and page display

Does anyone else have this problem?

The problem is this: when I access a page in the forums, the HTML is downloaded, and I can see my header, and then just a blank page underneath.

After a few moments, the rest of the page shows up, all at once. I know the browser isn't downloading anything else, because the 'globe' isn't spinning and the transfer bar at the bottom is completed.

This is kind of annoying, and it is happening on all my pages, not just the forums.. Any idea why this happens? Also, several members emailed me with the same question, so I know it isn't just my PC/browser.

It's probably because you're site's in a table. Did you use a large invisible table to set up your page layout? In order to prevent shuffling things around until the table's loaded, your browser doesn't show the contents of a table until the table's loaded. That's why vB displays each post of a thread in a separate table (very smart!).
