Are there some add-on and/or modules to use search-engine friendly URLS?

I'm sure there is such a mod. I've seen vB forums with those kinds of URLs. Actually it's not even vB specific. You can get SEO URLs (in Apache web server) by having the mod_rewrite and using .htaccess file.

There are some free add-ons at vBulletin.org.

If you are serious about SEO, there is http://www.vbseo.com/ which is a paid SEO mod for vBulletin.
