Hi

Two quick questions before I buy:

1) Is there a mod/hack available to easily (ie. wthout implementing a whole portal module) display the last 10 posts on the home page of the website (which is not a vBulletin page)? I currently use phpBB and have set it up so that the 10 most recent postings appear on my home page. See www.frequentflyer.com.au (http://www.frequentflyer.com.au)

2) When I transfer over from phpBB, is there anyway I can use the existing phpBB URL's. I have about 20,000 pages indexed in Google and I don't want to lose them.

Thnaks

1. You can use vBulletins External Data providers to display the last 10 latest threads on your homepage. We have a tutorial on how to do this.

2. Google will reindex your forum, moving to any other forum software including vBulletin, and possibly even upgrading to a later version of phpBB could change your ids if not the way threads are displayed (possible a file change). All of your userids postids and threadids will be renumbered, theres no way around this.

You can use the 404 redirect to try to fix the second issue a bit. See this discussion: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178161
