So yesterday, I bought a new vBulletin Licence and a new domain name. I set the name server and the I.P addresses for the domain name to match my servers. When I did this, I got a shower and got changed ready for bed. Installed vBulletin and turned the forum off. This morning I changed the settings on my new forum with new forums and what not.

Over the gamers chat client XFire, I put in my status 'SiteTroll.com' I recieved a couple of new members from my friends. This one guy spammed me with 'I'm going to hack your site you prick..' I just give his messege a lol.

I didn't think nothing of it, so he makes about 5 new registrations and spams the hell out of my forum. I ban all his accounts and I.P ban him. He comes back on a proxy and does it again. So I went to my webhost and told him. He did say that vBulletin are the best though.

He's also putting the i.p addresses what I give him in for investigation and banning them from their servers. They did say vBulletin is the best. ;)

Ben: It was installed yesturday but I turned the forum off all night as I needed to change some settings. The forum has only been running about 20 minutes
Technical Support: If its a new one you can delete and use another program for your forum.
Ben: I paid for Vbulletin and it's the best forum you can possibly get..
Technical Support: Thats true

I don't like installing hacks on my forums. I like to keep them pure. Thanks anyway.

I don't either, but i do install hacks that are plugins, that way i dont have to edit any of the php files during upgrades. I won't install a hack where the php files must be altered..

I run over 50 hacks on my site and only 2 use code edits. there's a lot you can do without editing the files
