no spaces in username?

Hi,

What is the best way to replace spaces users might put in their username when registering on my site? eregi_replace?

In other words, usernames can have no spaces in them.

str_replace would be the best way to get rid of them...
I would recommend replacing them with an underscore (_) character though.
