Anyone tried out this feature rich CMS (article script) which can be integrated with Vbulletin ?

http://www.evo-dev.com

look at this extensive feature list:

but costs $247..

What are your opinions, do you find it worth the price ?

It looks nice but I am not left with that wow factor.

I read over at Sitepoint (or somewhere else...can't remember) that the software was a bit of a disappointment...

I've used it in my photoshopcity site in the past but switched in my own CMS since it really wasn't doing what I wanted :). The script itself is actually very nice but doesn't work nicely. It integrates with vbulletin forum just fine but you'll have a hard time to make an automatic comment system posts for each article that is posted on your website. There are lots of hidden bugs and the WYSIWYG editor takes ages to load :(. I'm in 3 MBPS so guess if I say slow then for the people in 56k could be ages.... well that's pretty much :).

Well at least it is not $3000 and not close source.

I currently use it for my media site, and plan on using it for another site I am getting ready to launch.

The service is great, and very helpful. The templates seem easy to understand. Currently I am having a design made for a new car site I am opening up that will feature EVO-ARTICLES!

Defintly worth the price!

I currently use Evo-Articles for my site and it functions great. The SEO optimization and easy templating make things fun. Was well worth the investment.

Nice web site you got there! :) I have forwarded it to one of my admins on another site I run, he is very interested in having a look .. might even help him to go and purchase a vB license + whatnot to improve his community. :)

evoarticles has an extensive feature list, but not sure why serps dont like the code, they wont index the site or frequently drop the indexed pages... as far as checked with example sites.

not sure if this is true (also read the same on other sites)

At first impression this software looked like a great solid CMS. But, after exploring the features and such, it's definantly not worth it's pricetag.

I'm a huge fan of http://www.vbdrupal.org myself. Unlimited posibilities with the module system.
