Impex Errors - e107 to vBulletin 3.5.4

Failures occur on:

Associating the users...
1 NOT done. It is most likely that vBulletin user 2 dose not exsist.

* Two users exist on the new board and user number 2 is a valid number. The import also fails when trying to use user #1.


Importing 15 caterories
Invalid category object, skipping.options
*repeat 15 times*

Importing 58 forums
From : 0 :: To : 100
Invalid forum object, skipping.options



Got poll and DID NOT attach to the correct thread

29 Imported / 154 Failed

No SQL errors reported.
Now here is the kicker. I was able to do this import on a 3.5.3 board. I've been waiting to do an site migration and while waiting 3.5.4 was released. I have several plugins and products installed; however they are not the cause of the error. I tried the migration w/ 3.5.4 on the existing site and on a freshly installed site. Both imports fail w/ the same errors.

Now, after trying to import the fourms I was able to continue to the threads and posts. These seem to work fine; however, the threads and posts are orphaned.

Any idea what could be causing the problem?

I opened a support ticket for this issue. When I get the solution from the vB folks I'll update this thread.

Any reason why you aren't using the latest version: 1.3.1

That number was pulled from the system on the fifth attempt to use ImpEx. The first 3 times I used the version that I downloaded last night at 2300 EST.

The last two times I used the ImpEx that I downloaded on or about 2/23/2006.

I'll double check the numbers just to make sure.

I just downloaded ImpEx from the vb support site and installed it. The lastest version available to me is 1.30. I'm not sure why it would be 1.3.1 as you suggested. Any ideas?

BTW, I still get the same errors.

At this point you'll neeed to followup on the support ticket you filled out.

No problem. I created this thread before I open that ticket. I left it open so that I could post the results from my service ticket here... just incase others were having the same issues.

BTW, I got the 1.3.1 from Jerry's signature (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/member.php?find=lastposter&t=116398). He always updates his sig with the latest version.

I have, updated all the files and rebuilt the download just to make sure there wasn't an error with the download.

I've tested the members ImpEx download with my own customer account and I'm getting 1.31.

Just thought that I should update this thread with the info that I found. The new import scripts worked fine with e107 with a few minor problems. Polls were not correctly linked; however I was able to break the links to the old polls and manually relink them as needed.

I just didn't want to leave this hanging for three more months.
