I want to get rid of the main bbtitle image and the profile, register, members etc icons from the top. Where should I be looking to do this.
I have checked throught the templates but have not found it.
I also did a search but alas also nothing.

Is there a guide for the templates, to tell you which ones do what..... I know some of the names are self explanitry (sp?) but is there?

What about the template for the main image?

There is no template for the main image. You can get around this by making the main image a 1x1 transparent gif. Otherwise you will have to edit pretty much every template.

If there is no template for the main page, how can I:
1. Get rid of the main image (I dont want to make it a 1x1 trans gif)
2. Change the width of the table
3. Generally edit the html in the page (I want to add a news fader in and a few other little things)

you have to edit all of the main templates, for all three of the things that you are looking for.
What I mean by main templates are forumhome, forumdisplay, showthread, all of those types.

OK that worked... now:

After creating a new template, what is the best way to set a variable to call it?

Like on the icons in the post they are $profile$useremail$homepage

I have created some templetes for the search, quote etc.
Now now do I set a $search variable to point to the tepmlate?

Those pages already have templates.

not for the pages for the icons..... icq, aol and the others have templates for the icons... I just want to create them for the others.

I still haven't had a need to create a template yet, so I'm not sure how you call them.
