The importer claims all is well and if I look at the db it seems as if it worked a treat, however when I visit the board, there are no forum categories, threads or posts. Also my post count is still 0.

Any ideas?

Have you saved the forum display to rebuild the forum cache ?

I have done that now and it has all went Pete Tong!!!!

The forums show up but they are not in the correct places. For instance:

most of the general forums are in the Moderators category, with the rest of the forums scattered between other categories!!!

You can always sort them out in the forum manager, or is there a great number ?

If it were one or two that were in the wrong place then yes, but this is all over the shop. Is there any reason why it has placed some correctly (handfull) and then just scattered the rest?

Did you re-run the forums module a few times ?

With out looking at the source database or the import in progress I can't really answer that.

3 times now and even limited it to 5 forums per.

Still no joy and this is not good. Could take an age to fix by editing one forum at a time.

Infact, when i delve further into the import, there are many factors that are 'ill'.

When I click on the last post in one forum, it tells me it does not exist, there are posts that are being displayed as being made in 1970, etc, etc

Re-running one module a lot can throw things out, I would suggest one clean import into a fresh vBulletin, then update the counters then see whats going on.

I can try this again, but every time it failed, it was a clean attempt.

Yep, still exactly the same, so it appears that the import is not working for me.

Any ideas?

I did it manually.

3 hours later and I must say the admin features that I encountered when fixing this are immense, well done!!

How do you re-run the cache?
