Having problems with imported data showing?

:confused: I'm honestly at a loss here guys. I do not know what else more to try.


Anyways, this is the deal:

I couldn't get impex to retrieve the old database for a clean move into my new vb forums on a new webhost. So what I did was export and reimport the database, however, it was large and we had problems, so I had a buddy script up a program to upload the database. The database is working and active, so now the old database is alongside the new database on the new webserver.

Now this is where the problem comes in, I'm using Impex to import from the old database into the new database. The new database is the latest vB version and it's clean fresh install. The old database is a PHPBB2 latest version. Impex is also the latest version. Anyways, I can import/import from the admin cp, I choose the correct databases... and I get a menu to import each section (posts, pm's, polls, users, etc)... however, once all of that is done... NOTHING shows up on the forums? I've tried resetting it and clearing all imported data 3 times now.


Any ideas?

I think I managed to figure it out. However, I'm gettin double the amount of posts and users, im going to clear everything and try again and see.

Follow all the steps in the how-to or manual ?

You have to save the forum cache for it all to display.
