How do I link old threads?

I just purchased and converted from phpBB to vBulletin.

I noticed that "old" topic links do not work anymore (obviously).. because vBulletin uses different .php and indexes.

Is it possible to somehow link these, so that google or other people that are linked directly to my threads don't have to go searching through the forum for these topics?

I am not sure if threadids are preserved. If they are, then what you want should be possible.
