cpanel directory protection

O.K I have a web statistics program called mint. It is under /mint/. I want to protect it with a password using cpanel. I do it, and it asks for the password and everything. Perfect...except it also asks for a password when I go to /forum/ even though it's not protected!! if I press cancel it will go to the forums, but I dont want to have it ask for a password PERIOD.


What is wrong? I tried to see if it was putting a pass on all folders...and it isnt. As far as I know only to /mint/ and to /forum/ even though I'm asking only to do it for /mint/

Ok, I know how to fix it on windows server 2k3 with the inherited permissions and all that, but not on cpanel. Why don't you ask cpanel support?
