Hi I am looking to purchase vbulletin for my website do i need a database on from my host(fasthost) or can i do it locally off my own computer? or is it all built in to vbulletin?

Your host must to have MySQL to install vBulletin.

According to the fasthost.com pages, mysql is part of all plans, so you're right to go.

Which package do you have at FastHost?

Edit: Looks like they have MySQL unlimited (up to your 500MB webspace).
