I can't see your phpinfo and sql pages as i get moving server front page message instead heh

I'd do the following

1. Upgrade MySQL server to 4.1.16
2. Upgrade PHP to 4.4.1 if you use phpadsnew make sure to update to phpadsnew 2.0.7 to work with PHP 4.4.1
3. Edit /etc/my.cnf and place the following mysql server settings in /etc/my.cnf and restart mysql server afterwards

[mysqld]
safe-show-database
back_log = 75
skip-innodb
max_connections = 800
key_buffer = 64M
myisam_sort_buffer_size = 64M
join_buffer_size = 1M
read_buffer_size = 1M
sort_buffer_size = 2M
table_cache = 1800
thread_cache_size = 384
wait_timeout = 150
connect_timeout = 10
tmp_table_size = 128M
max_allowed_packet = 64M
max_connect_errors = 10
read_rnd_buffer_size = 524288
bulk_insert_buffer_size = 8M
query_cache_limit = 2M
query_cache_size = 128M
query_cache_type = 1
query_prealloc_size = 16384
query_alloc_block_size = 16384
default-storage-engine = MyISAM

[mysqld_safe]
open_files_limit = 8192

[mysqldump]
quick
max_allowed_packet = 16M

[myisamchk]
key_buffer = 64M
sort_buffer = 64M
read_buffer = 16M
write_buffer = 16M

4. Install APC Cache lastest version from http://pecl.php.net/package/APC. Read install guide at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165367

5. Upgrade to vB 3.5.3 http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166391

6. If you have load issues or want to streamline it a bit more try to disable these 4 options or choose which options to disable:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options -> Display Logged in Users?

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Forum Display Options (forumdisplay) -> Show Users Browsing Forums

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Thread Display Options -> Show Users Browsing Thread

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Message Searching Options -> Automatic Similar Thread search

7. change httpd.conf values from

KeepAlive / ON
MaxKeepAliveRequests / 100
KeepAliveTimeout / 15
MinSpareServers / 5
MaxSpareServers / 10
StartServers / 5
MaxClients / 150

AND Maxrequestsperchild value = 0

to

KeepAlive / ON
MaxKeepAliveRequests / 150
KeepAliveTimeout / 8
MinSpareServers / 10
MaxSpareServers / 15
StartServers / 10
MaxClients / 200

AND Maxrequestsperchild value = 1000

restart apache

OK Realist will be doing that, now people using XEONS with the high load like myself reaching in excess of over 100, now we went from Dual XEON 2.8ghz with 2 gig of ram to an Opteron 246 which is 2ghz in each processor with 2gig of ram and it out performs the xeon by far and the load does not hit over 1 so far..

I Recommend an opteron for any forum.

My Xeon servers run fine, but Opterons are quiet abit more powerful.

My AMD 64 2800+ kills my P43.06 :) and the AMD is 1.8ghz

excellent indeed... performance to price ratio is very good for Opterons over Xeons :D
