I am glad to see that an old version like 2.x is still receiving security updates, but I hope to see everybody to upgrade to the latest stable 3.5.x :)

Thank you very much for your continuing support of the products some may consider outdated. vBulletin 2 is still alive and kicking high on many Internet web sites.

I installed the patch, and it seems to be working all right.

As far as I know it should work, but wasn't tested.

It's good to see 2.x.x still getting updates. Many thanks for keeping it supported after begin released for so long. :)

In the upgrade guide, it says: "Upgrading will not overwrite any of your custom templates. If you have customized any template that is listed as 'modified' in the announcement, we seriously recommend using the 'revert' option to return them to the default template, then re-applying your customizations." The part that is throwing me off is the "that is listed as 'modified' in the announcement" -- what announcement?

I've got 2.3.6 on my site, do I just need to revert all of the modified templates to their original state before I do the upgrade?

No, you can do this after the upgrade.

Oh okay. But that's what I do? Just revert the modified templates back to the original? (I wanna make sure I don't screw anything up as I have done it before, LoL)

Yes, after upgrading revert any custom templates back to original then redo your changes if you want.

Alrighty, thanks so much for the help and speedy response time. :D 'Tis greatly appreciated.

ETA I've thought of another question. Should I delete everything first before uploading the upgrade?

That's not necessary. For any more support questions, please start a new thread.
