Licensed members usergroup

Hello vbulletin,
Great work so far. I was wondering why don't you actually put the user's in a different group. May be after buying a license you guys probably add us the licensed members in an additional group, but I think it would be better if the people actually notice that we are licensed members. For example, I've made different user groups for different types of membership, gave them group image, different color on the users online tab and titles to make them actually display as a premium member. I think it will inspire other users to buy license seeing so many licensed members :).

Some people have suggested making customers more visable in some way, so customers can see who is another customer.

I like it the way it is though, as people treat each other the same without some sort of superiority in mind. Maybe not happen with you or me, for example, but some people would think they were better than non-customers and such.

I rather like the way things are now though...

I also believe that Jelsoft fears it's a possible breach of privacy if they publically display those who are licensed and those who are not.

Good point, didn't really think of that. :). Anyways my suggestion is still on, just do what you see fit.

Who said the don't? ;) I assume that they do put us in another group to allow us to post in all forums. I assume they just choose not to ackowledge this as I son;t either. I do not list the user groups as it is less clutter.

The staff, and staff alone ar ethe only ones who can tell who is a licensed users and who is not :)

I see. How about give us also the option to display us as licensed members or not. Like on vb.org we can choose to display our souce codes to non-licensed members or not. So, why not similar in vb too? :)

We will not do so, the same type of system is used their, the staff of jelsoft, and only the staff will be the only people who know 100% for sure or not who is licensed and who is not.

But, some of the forums here are only for licensed members.
