i just moved to a new server again :) and it is using Apache 1.3.19, PHP4.05 and MySQL 3.23.37

and some of the fixed threads in my forum when clicked on give me this error

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/user/public_html/admin/functions.php(448) : regexp code on line 4

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/user/public_html/admin/functions.php(448) : regexp code on line 4

Parse error: parse error in /home/user/public_html/admin/functions.php(448) : regexp code on line 4

Fatal error: Failed evaluating code: createlists(' \\\'X\\\' and \\\'Y\\\' are shorter than usual,
\\\'X\\\' and \\\'Y\\\' are single,
\\\'X\\\' and \\\'Y\\\' are actually involved with each other,
\\\'X\\' and \\'Y\\' are sisters.') in /home/user/public_html/admin/functions.php on line 448

okay found the problem but NO permanent solution

one of my members had this in his signature

Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-YURI!!! :D

I love yuri, yes I do,
Yuri is so good for you!
Yuri rules, that much is true,
And shoujo-ai is damn good too!

Generic formula for Maguamaru's posts:
'X loves Y', where 'X' and 'Y' are names of girls, and the variable of 'love' is a sexual one. Probability of this is increased if:
'X' and 'Y' are shorter than usual,
'X' and 'Y' are single,
'X' and 'Y' are actually involved with each other,
'X' and 'Y' are sisters.
:naughty:
i removed it and the problems gone

i tried every combination of magic_quotes_gpc on and off but that didn't help

PHP 4.05 and MySQL 3.23.37 i'm using now

I've seen a similar problem when a user has many single quote marks (') in their signature.
